Paddler's paradise

This motley crew of canoes aren't all that's colorful in this aquatic outpost of Jasper National Park. Fed by glaciers, Maligne Lake boasts a brilliant turquoise tint, at least on days when it isn't reflecting the blues and grays of a partly-cloudy Alberta sky. As storms seem to brew above the surrounding Rockies, maybe it's best to leave the boats stowed for now, but under clear skies, Maligne's glassy surface is perfect for paddling.
