Sailing with icebergs

Welcome to the magical Ilulissat Icefjord, where a fast-moving glacier meets the open ocean and fragments into a maze of floating icebergs. As the unfortunate Titanic taught us, bergs like this can be a big ship's bane, but this little red sailboat has no trouble flitting among the cool-blue goliaths. Speaking of that stunning contrast of colors, we owe the vividness of this night shot to the midnight sun: This spot on Greenland's west coast is just above the Arctic Circle, so during summer it stays illuminated all night long.
