Glow, Canada

Located where the flat plains of the Prairie Provinces give way to the sharply rising Canadian Rockies (such as multi-peaked Mount Rundle to the right), this national park is a true gem of the True North. Just over an hour's drive from the city of Calgary, Banff National Park is a bustling ski resort in winter and a hiker's paradise in summer. For that matter, a nice winter hike at sunrise isn't out of the question, as long as you wear your mittens and keep off the thin ice. Unless, of course, you're a goose, like the pair of adventurers you may have spotted in our photo.
