Considering its status as the biggest member of the deer family, it's fitting that the moose is Alaska's state mammal. Spend time here in the Last Frontier and you'll find 'big' is a common theme. This portrait of an impressively antlered bull moose was snapped in Chugach State Park, which covers an area equivalent to roughly half of Rhode Island. And it's only the second-largest of Alaska's state parks: Many miles west, the remote Wood-Tikchik State Park covers a rugged patch of wilderness just larger than Delaware.
