A ghost's post?
Though keepers tended its light between 1776 and 1844, the Point of Ayr lighthouse has sat derelict ever since. Over the years, this former beacon on the northernmost beach in Wales has gained a reputation for apparitions: Some have claimed to see ghostly figures on the tower's circular balcony, and a stainless steel 'ghost keeper' sculpture stood at the railing for a time in the early 2010s. The shiny statue was relocated after a short stay, so nowadays if you notice someone leaning on the ringed rail, you may just be seeing things…or are you?
