'Sea of mist'
This dreamy view comes from the Aiyerweng Skywalk, a mountaintop lookout in Betong, Thailand, where early risers are rewarded with a glowing ocean of clouds. Known as the 'sea of mist,' this phenomenon occurs when cool morning air traps fog in the valleys below, creating a surreal landscape of floating peaks. Located in the far south of Thailand near the Malaysian border, Betong is a lesser-known gem with a rich cultural mix and lush highland scenery.
