A Highlander says hi
Just as happy nibbling on sparse upland grasses as they are gorging from a fattening trough, Highland cattle are prized by farmers everywhere for their adaptability. First bred as early as the 6th century to weather northern Britain's harsh conditions, the brawny beef breed thrives at almost any latitude from Scandinavia to the Southern Hemisphere. But the scruffy specimen seen here dwells right in its eerily beautiful ancestral home: the Scottish Highlands.
