Located north of Ilulissat in western Greenland, Eqi Glacier is one of the most active glaciers in the region, frequently calving into the fjord below. These dramatic collapses send thunderous echoes across the water and generate waves that ripple for miles. The glacier's rapid movement and retreat are closely monitored by scientists as indicators of climate change. From above, the fractured surface reveals crevasses and pressure ridges, evidence of the immense forces at work within the ice.
