Just around the cape from the famous rock arch punctuating Baja California's southern end, this male brown pelican found a perch bearing its name. Pelican Rock is one of several sea stacks, large and small, that surround the promontory where tourists flock to see the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. Much like a hungry pelican, many of these visitors are also looking for fish: This spot is renowned throughout Mexico and worldwide not only for its iconic above-water scenery, but also as a snorkeling destination.
