There are many breathtaking waterfalls in Jasper National Park, in the Canadian province of Alberta, but the multi-tiered cascade of Tangle Creek Falls is a particularly stunning spectacle. The waterfall is easily accessible, just off the 140-mile Icefields Parkway, one of the world’s most scenic drives which takes in mountain peaks, ancient glaciers and icy lakes. Tangle Creek Falls' misty spray can be felt out on the road itself, but for the best photos, it may be worth getting closer to truly soak in its beauty.
At 4,200 sq miles, Jasper is the biggest national park in the Canadian Rockies and is especially beautiful in the winter months, when cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skating are among popular activities here. With its snow-dusted mountain peaks and forests, coyotes, caribou, bighorn sheep and mountain goats there is plenty to see when the temperature plummets.
