All is bright in Santa Fe. Paper lanterns light up the night

Today we’re in Santa Fe, New Mexico’s capital, where residents celebrate the holidays with lovely paper lanterns known as farolitos, or luminaria. The annual Farolito Walk takes place each Christmas Eve in the city’s Canyon Road art district, but the farolitos are often on display much earlier, lighting the way among the pueblo-style architecture that this region is known for – a style that was quite popular in the early 20th century.
