Eastern grey kangaroos in Kosciuszko National Park

These eastern grey kangaroos taking a break on the grasslands of Kosciuszko National Park may look like hares or rabbits from a distance. But up close, a six-foot-tall male eastern grey could look a person in the eye. They’re still only the second largest living marsupial, though. Red kangaroos are even bigger. Perhaps these ‘roos are waiting for the fireworks show to celebrate Australia Day.
