Where is this ethereal mountain?. Mount Bromo, East Java, Indonesia

At nearly a mile and a half above sea level, Mount Bromo (left side of the photo, showing steam) is an active volcano in one of the most iconic sites in East Java, Indonesia. Mount Bromo slumbers inside the spectacular Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, famous for its scenic sunrise views and dramatic landscapes. The volcano gets its name from the Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. Mount Bromo is the only active volcano in the giant Tengger caldera and is surrounded by the Laut Pasir (Sea of Sand), a stretch of fine volcanic sand. In the last two decades, the volcano has erupted four times.
