As beautiful as this vista is, most of today 's visitors to Park City are there to spend the day inside. The city has one of the biggest ski areas in the United States. During summers many people visit the city to get away from the high temperature in their region as Park city is usually cooler. The Mormons travelled to the area initially and then they settled and built the city. Park city has been named as one of the prettiest towns in the United States and has also won the Gold-level Ride Center designation award. There are more tourists than residents in the city due to the growth of skiing and the tourist economy.
