Bréhat, France
We're looking down on the French island of Bréhat, just off the northern coast of Brittany. Strictly speaking, Bréhat is an archipelago composed of two main islands, joined by a bridge, and many smaller ones. Bréhat is known for its pink granite rocks, very mild microclimate and Mediterranean vegetation, caused by the warm Gulf Stream coming from across the Atlantic. It is nicknamed 'the island of flowers' for the variety of plants that colour the island. You can only reach Bréhat by boat. No cars are allowed here, just bicycles and pedestrians. Some of the main tourist attractions include the island's two lighthouses, beaches, chapel, water mill and old fortress where you can watch glassblowers working.
