A ice-age story. Scenic view of the Loisach River, Germany
This is a view of the Loisach River with Heimgarten Mountain in Bavaria, Germany. A 113 kilometre-long tributary of the Isar river, it flows into Lake Kochelsee, 70 kilometres south of Munich in Germany. It is believed that this lake was created at the end of the last glacial period, as the bottom of the glacier scraped out the lake bed. Once the glacial period ended, it was transformed into this beautiful lake.
