A corny tradition returns. Don’t get lost in there
Look closely at today’s homepage picture and you might spot some adventurous folks searching for the way out of this elaborate corn maze in the US state of California. Corn mazes – also known as ‘maize mazes’ around our shores – are a popular tradition this time of year that allows for much creativity. This year, a Massachusetts farmer made US headlines with a Tom Brady tribute maze, designed to look like the popular NFL quarterback throwing a football. And a farmer in Illinois built a 2.6-hectare maze shaped like a vintage Indy 500 race car. We’re still holding out for a corn maze inspired by search engines. Anyone game?
